We’re called WISDOM Real Estate for a reason - we love to spread great ideas! A "life hack" is simply a little trick or idea to make life easier, better and usually, more environmentally happy because you can re-use common household items. Check out the list below for some of the Wisdom Real Estate Team's favorite shortcuts:

Warm white wine? No thanks! Keep some grapes in the freezer and use them to keep your white wine cold AND avoid the watered down result you get with ice cubes. For a sustainable solution, invest in some reusable ice cubes.

Lend things out and never get them back? Take a photo of your friend holding that book you let them borrow so you remember who you lent it to...and now you have proof!

Have your eggs gone bad? Place an egg in a bowl of cool water. If it sinks onto its side, it's perfectly fine. If it sinks and stands on its smaller end, it's still edible, but won't be for very much longer. And if it floats, it's bad.

Hard time cleaning your blender? Use your blender! Don't risk slicing your fingers by cleaning a blender with a sponge—pour in soap and water, turn it on, and rinse it out.

Wrapping paper everywhere? Next time you finish a roll of toilet paper, cut vertically through the cardboard roll and wrap it around your opened rolls of wrapping paper to keep them organized.

Lend things out and never get them back? Take a photo of your friend holding that book you let them borrow so you remember who you lent it to...and now you have proof!

Kids fall out of bed? Throw a pool noodle under the fitted sheet on the side of the bed!

Don’t have any AA batteries? When you need to replace the batteries in the remote without trekking to the store, stick a AAA battery in there. Then, roll a small ball of aluminum foil to plug the gap on the negative end of the battery.

Is your car a crazy food-ridden mess? A cheap shower caddy makes a great place to store food in the car.

Want better re-heated pizza? Put a small amount of water in a glass when you microwave your pizza to keep the crust from getting chewy.

Keyboard collecting dust? Run a post-it between the keys on your keyboard to collect the gunk.

Hope some of these help you!
